Super Bowl Predictions 2025: Betting Tips for Canadian Fans

It’s never too early to start making Super Bowl predictions. The 2025-26 NFL season will culminate for the greatest betting day of the year on February 8, 2026 at Levi Stadium. Last year’s matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs had more people watching than ever before, and we’re expecting to smash that record again in 2026.

NFL BETTING

Will we see another matchup between top-tier seeds? Or will some dark horse contenders enter the fold like in 2022 when the Los Angeles Rams faced the Cincinnati Bengals. This offseason has seen some ups and downs with big franchises navigating the never-ending challenges brought on by roster gaps.

The Cleveland Browns have been particularly affected by these offseason challenges that started with QB Deshaun Watson suffering a setback in his Achilles recovery back in January. The Browns’ quarterback troubles have gotten so bad that three of their four options became unavailable during training camp. To help, they brought back QB Tyler Huntley, who was released by the team last August.

Beyond their QB issues, their veteran LB Jordan Hicks retired during the offseason, and most recently, CB Martin Emerson was carted off the field in training camp due to an Achilles tear; their regular season win total has plummeted to 4.5.

Of the teams experiencing the brighter side, the Los Angeles Rams had a promising offseason that saw them retain the services of QB Matthew Stafford at a reasonable price. They also came out ahead in their dilemma with benched guard Jonah Jackson. Not only did they get relieved of his full contract thanks to the Chicago Bears, they also got a sixth-round pick in the deal.

Their highly productive Pro Bowler RB Kyren Williams will return after coming to terms with the team on a three-year contract extension worth $33 million; the 24-year-old from Notre Dame had a career season last year, putting up 1,299 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Early bird betting is happening right now on the 2025-26 NFL futures market. We’re going to have a look at this season’s top favourites for Super Bowl glory and the underdogs who could make some noise and make a deep push in the postseason. We’ll also get into some betting insights, tips and suggestions for our Canadian football bettors. Betting value is best found early on, so dig in while the odds are long and the dust has yet to settle.

Top Super Bowl Predictions 2026: Favourites and Dark Horses

Baltimore Ravens +600

At the top of the Super Bowl odds board are the Baltimore Ravens (+600), who have been perennial postseason contenders the last three seasons. They’ll see all but four starters return from last year’s roster—a team that boasted the best yards-per-game average (424.9) and most rushing yards (187.6 YDS/G) in the league.

On the opposite side of the ball, the Ravens’ defensive unit underwent some corrections early last season and showed improvement down the stretch. They registered 54 sacks, second best in the league; 12.5 of them came from the veteran edge rusher Kyle Van Noy, who earned a spot in the 2025 Pro Bowl as a replacement for the injured TJ Watt.

On the heels of two straight division titles, the Ravens are poised to finally reach the Super Bowl for the first time since Lamar Jackson became their quarterback. The additions of Pro Bowl WR DeAndre Hopkins and CB Jaire Alexander will likely help them get there.

Buffalo Bills +625

Sitting second on the odds board, the Bills (+625) have made a habit of going through stretches of each season where they look invincible. For the fifth straight year, they finished first in the hapless AFC East; they returned to the AFC Championship round for the second time since 2020 and again lost to KC.

This offseason, Bills management focused on retooling their defensive unit, which was a glaring issue this past postseason. They focused on defensive players with their first five picks of the draft, and added veteran talent in Chargers’ edge rusher Joey Bosa, CBs Dane Jackson and Tre’Davious White, and LB Shad Thompson. Returning players include CB Christian Benford and DE Greg Rousseau.

Philadelphia Eagles +750

It’s a bit unusual for a defending Super Bowl champion to find themselves third on the board to repeat, but that’s where the Eagles are after losing many key starters from last year. On the defensive side, LB Oren Burks and DE Josh Sweat left in free agency, while Eagles brass decided to release CB Darius Slay. As for Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, he was traded because of “financial restraints”. Franchise DE Brandon Graham retired over the offseason.

Eagles fans will be eager to see their star RB Saquon Barkley return for hopefully another incredible season. After signing a beefy two-year extension worth an eye-watering $41.2 million, Barkley will aim to repeat or improve upon last season’s 2,005 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s now the highest-paid running back in the league.

Minnesota Vikings +2500

Skip down the odds board to the mid-tier contenders and you’ll find the Minnesota Vikings, who we believe will have a strong season in 2025-26. After finishing an otherwise strong season with an abysmal performance in the final game, QB Sam Darnold was shipped to Seattle, allowing Minnesota to reinvest in their o-line and focus on their QB of the future: JJ McCarthy.

A lot will depend on how McCarthy responds after sitting out his rookie year to heal from an MCL tear, making Minnesota an intriguing dark horse contender and worth a flier at +2200 odds.

Super Bowl Betting: Key Insights for Canadian Bettors

Whichever teams and players you put in your Super Bowl picks, your chances of success will go up if you take a moment to think about what type of bet you want to place. The classic point spread is a familiar choice for Canadian bettors, but Super Bowl props have taken over the landscape in recent years – and there’s even more where that came from at Bodog Sportsbook.

Popular Super Bowl Bets in Canada

Super Bowl point spreads were first posted in Las Vegas way back in 1967, when the Green Bay Packers (another NFL team with Canadian connections) beat Kansas City 35-10 as 14-point favourites. That means the Packers had to beat KC by more than 14 points to “cover” the spread and pay out their supporters – which they did.

If you prefer, you can bypass the spread and bet on the Super Bowl moneylines at Bodog. This is when you pick one team or the other to win straight up (SU) instead of against the spread (ATS). And it can sometimes make the difference between a winning or losing bet. At Super Bowl LVI, the Rams downed the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 to cash in as –210 moneyline favourites at Bodog, but Cincy beat the spread as 4.5-point underdogs.

Then you’ve got those Super Bowl totals, where you bet on whether the two teams will combine to score Over or Under the posted number of points on Bodog’s NFL odds board. The over/under has become so popular over the years, it’s become the format for all those Super Bowl props that have taken Canada by storm.

Prop Bets for Super Bowl 2026

Will the quarterback on the favoured team throw at least three TD passes at the Big Game? How will the opposition perform? These are the kind of bets you’ll find on the Super Bowl props list at Bodog Sportsbook. Bettors across Canada who got their feet wet playing Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) have flocked to these wagers on individual players; even if you’ve only dabbled in standard fantasy football, this bet type should be right up your alley.

The other reason Super Bowl props have gotten so big is that you’re not just betting on the Big Game – you also get all the other things that come with the football, like the opening Coin Toss, the National Anthem, the Halftime Show, the Super Bowl MVP Award, and the traditional Gatorade Shower for the winning head coach.

You can even bet on Super Bowl ads, even if they don’t show all the high-profile ones in Canada. Pick your favourites from the hundreds of Super Bowl prop bets at Bodog, print out your checklist, and follow along with your friends while you’re watching the Big Game.

Bet on Super Bowl Live

Thanks to the power of the internet, Bodog can bring you live Super Bowl betting with the tap of a button, giving you point spreads, moneylines, totals and props updated in real time as the Big Game rolls on.

But why stop there? With NFL live betting at Bodog, you can bet not just on the game itself, but on the outcome of each play as well. Will this be a passing attempt or a rush? Will there be a touchdown? As long as you’re quick enough, you can place your bets before the next snap and still have time to scarf down some of those tasty Super Bowl snacks. Visit Bodog’s odds page and hit that “LIVE” button at the top left to see what sports are available on any given day.

Tips for Betting on Super Bowl Predictions 2026

So you’ve got all your ducks in a row: You know the different types of Super Bowl bets you can make, and the importance of choosing the right online sportsbook. To help you get even more value from your Super Bowl picks, here are some important NFL betting tips and strategies to keep in mind.

– Do your research: On top of the useful NFL betting articles we have for you here at Bodog, you should always have a browser tab or two dedicated to some reliable NFL league stats, both traditional (passing/rushing yards, touchdowns, interceptions) and advanced (EPA, QBR). Keep an eye as well on the newswires for the latest injury reports and updates; the more players there are coming in and out, the more volatile the NFL lines will be for that matchup, giving you the opportunity to take advantage with a sharp bet.

– Find the best odds: The lines you see on Bodog Sportsbook’s NFL odds board are always competitive with the rest of the betting market. But depending on which teams or players you’re betting on, you might find that Bodog gives you the highest possible return for your chosen wager, to go along with all those other advantages we’ve mentioned.

– Keep it simple: If this is your first go-around with sports betting, stick with the basic “straight” or “single” NFL bets (spreads, moneylines, totals) before moving on to the more exotic wagers like props and parlays. As you broaden your sports betting knowledge base, you can use your handicapping skills to find value in sweetheart teasers, round robins and other advanced bet types.

– Bet smaller amounts more frequently: As they say, don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. Even semi-professional bettors are more than happy if they can get 53-54% of their NFL spreads and totals right; that still means being wrong almost half the time, so protect yourself by making multiple smaller bets instead of risking large chunks of your bankroll on any one game – even the Big Game.

– Have fun: Like we said, entertainment should be your top priority when you bet at Bodog Sportsbook. Winning is fun too, but if you’re doing this to make money, be advised that there are much easier ways to make considerably larger amounts of cash without putting yours at risk. Bet on football because you enjoy it.
